Artificial intelligence and augmented reality to support patients dependent on home care

Code

SK-NIC-OPRM-FOND-2024-024

Duration

01/2025 - 12/2025

Within the project, we will research artificial intelligence methods in evaluating various data from sensors used in ensuring the health status of a patient in home nursing care. With their help, we will identify changes in data caused by internal and external influences, while evaluating high-frequency data and patterns and non-standard deviations in them, which may indicate negative, but also positive changes in the patient's health status. The resulting data will be consulted with the medical team cooperating with OZ Alan Alexander and their dispersion, impact on the change in health status and the method of patient care will be evaluated. At the same time, we will create a prototype of an innovative SW tool based on AR (augmented reality) for displaying the patient's current health status and nursing procedures for caregivers to reduce the error rate in identifying non-standard behavior and reduce stress when providing nursing care to the patient.

The project was supported by the SK NIC Fund within the Small Projects 2024 call.
